I have very good law frim at wall street for my case. One of th employee very close to me told you shouldn't check your status frequently.

He said Previously you were not able to create your account so somebody checking a certain receipt # could be anyone. To track how a individual is desperate about his case USCIS created this account system.

Do u think he is correct??

I can't believe that there are still people like u who believe in all these BS.

Infact USCIS constantly monitors this forum and identifie's people like u who are always scared and will delay your case or even Deny  . So be careful and don't login to immigrationportal/rupnet and USCIS.gov. If USCIS knows that ur browsing too much, FBI may have too many questions for U

:D agree with Red_Card..status checking has noting 2 do with approval..i know about many guys checking status every 2 mins and all got approved

All my friends who got approvals checked the status with their credentials every half-hour. In fact, after seeing them, I thought frequent checking could cause approvals.

if status checking can impact deadline -- is outright illegal bias and that is the last thing gov. agencies intend to do. also it is against privacy provisions mentioned in USCIS site.. probably status check is for people like me who otherwise would have called up USCIS to know about the case.. a call to USCIS from me is sill due..

Most law firms don't want to be disturbed therefore they make all kinds of stories. We as "individual" are affected by delay in process not them. They just want us to play wait and watch game.

With big law firm most of the time you don't even interact with the attorney. His/her paralegal is the front line of defense.

Transfers blow this BS theory out of the water completely, since you can't even check your status online after you've been transferred to a local office.

And what about ETA-CG who is hitting many EAC # to scan :D :D
Now USCIS should send notices to those as it triggers a mail to officer :D :D :D Guys in 2004 how can you believe this at all :D

Because...

... when there is no logic / reasoning to the way applications are being processed, it is human tendency to grasp at any straws, and rumors are easily spread...

On my part, my heartbeat and pulse jumps up each time I am notified that there are more than 4 emails in my account, only to log in and find that they are not USCIS emails... a minute later, I calm down, disappointed...

THAT'S NOT TRUE .I CHECKED MY CASE ATLEAST 20-30 TIMES IN A 24 HOUR PERIOD AND GUESS WHAT MY I-485 GOT APPROVED ON 12/13/04. MY RD IS 8/13/03 AND I AM AMONG THE VERY FEW WHO GOT APPROVED SO FAST FOR THE RD OF 8/13/03. SO YOUR REPUTED LAW FIRM IS DEAD WRONG.ASK THEM NOT TO SCARE MEMBERS OF THIS FORUM WHO ENJOY BENIFIT OF MUTUAL INFORMATION NOT DISINFORMATION LIKE THE ONE YOU ARE GIVING.

SO MR. START CHECKING AS OFTEN AS YOU PLEASE WITHOUT ANY FEAR

I guess this law firm is getting the latest immigration info from the last page of "Amar Ujala" -- a hindi news paper published from Kanpur :D :D
