Does Canadian need stamping?

I am a Canadian Citizen. I transferred from TN to H1b visa few months back while I was working here in the US. I got my H1b approval notice but do not have a visa stamp on my Canadian passport.

I plan to visit India shortly. Do I have to go to Canada and get my passport stamped? If so, I have to make an appointment and fill up DS156 right?

I do not believe so. I know of a friend, who did not have to. This is about 6 mos. back.
