Does bad credit effect AOS?

Did you sign a form to say they can do a credit check?

If not dont worry. If yes, it is impossible as they dont ask you to sign any form. They have much better things to do than check credit history and pay for it..dont worry buddy you are fine.

Because my friend applied for bankruptcy and his GC got approved recently, so no relation between them !!!

I would have thought having too much debt on your credit cards should actually be advantageous to the applicant, since the INS would not like the applicant to leave the country without having paid-off the debt. So they would grant the applicant approval. Seems logical, but might not hold true.
