No. You need to physically leave the USA.

It is understood that you need to get a new stamp from a consulate abroad. The question is being more than 1 year on AOS reset the 6 year limit of H1 visa?No. You need to physically leave the USA.

I was not referring to a visa stamp. In order to reset the H1 clock, you need to spend 12 months or more outside the US.
