My RD is Nov01 and I had my Fingerprints done in April 02.
So my fingerprints expired in July 02. Its been more than 80 days, i have not recieved second notice for fingerprints.

Question is,

Does BCIS send FP notice or you have to go on your own for second FP.

Lets say officer reviews my case in recent future, then what would be the most possible outcome??
Decision on the case or Send notice for second FP and put the case somewhere in his huge pile??

Please share your thoughts.

BCIS would send you a notice; you dont go on your own.

Send notice for second FP (and whatever else as RFE). Whether it goes on a huge pile after that is anyones guess.

So your guess is I wont see Aproval notice in my mail box before secon FP/RFE...

Do others agree with that??

Let me tell you my story as I have almost similar dates as yours. My RD is 12/11/01 and ND 12/14/01. Ist FP done on 04/11/02 and results received by BCIS on 04/23/02. RFE issued on 7/11/03, responded on 7/28/03 and received by BCIS on 7/30/03.

In the mean time finger prints expired on 7/23, just one week before they received the rfe response and I thought that was ok. But that was not ok with BCIS and they generated a second FP notice on 8/15 which is sheduled to be done on 9/12. So, I cannot expect the approval until after 9/12.

Not really.
Aparently some one in California(a friend's friend) had his fp expired but BCIS still approved(after 18-19 mons after 1st fp)
with no RFE and no 2nd fp.
U might also be that lucky for all u know
bottom line u never know what to expect from BCIS

just a suggestion.
have u considered going to the local office and give the fp earlier.
I know lot of people have done it. Might hasten u'r case.

Ofcourse we've tried that. We got the FP notices on Friday and went to the Alexandria, VA office on Saturday. This ASC is very particular about the scheduled dates and didn't take our finger prints. I tried to sell them the usual 'Vacation plans' crap but they wouldn't even listen to me. All they said is ' You have 3 months after the scheduled date to record your prints. If you are going to be out of town on that day you can come any day within 3 months and do it'

I guess not all the ASCs have the same policies.

I am sorry that they did not take u'r fp. But u know they have so much discreationary powers and if they wanted to they could have done u'r fp that day. They do not want to be nice and help people(at least thereat Alexandria).Occasionally u do come accross some people who do help u at INS(rare).
