Does anyone know if I need a PCC from U.S. Police Station as well?

Hi,
   I have lived in U.S from the age of 16. Did my schooling and college, here. So, technically I need a PCC from here, right.. that clarifys that I have lived in U.S and have no police record?!
   I will take a PCC from CGNY but should I take one from the U.S local police station as well to be on the safe side? Will I get one from there without a problem?

   Does anyone have an idea about this?

PCC not required from US

Hi,
I dont think that you require a PCC from US. I asked the US Consulate in Mumbai about PCC by email and they replied saying that I need
a PCC from the nearest Indian Consulate. You can ask directly to the
US Consulate where you are doing your PCC they usually reply back within 2-3 days.

jk8 did u get a PCC from a US local police station? or consulate?

I have already taken a PCC from CGNY and as suggested by my lawyer.(just to be on the safe side) He said it is not required, though. And the guys here on this site say that a PCC is not required from local police station in U.S. So I gave up on the idea of getting one from here.
