Does an RFE for EAD affect I485 processing ?

Hi,
Just received RFE papers for my wife\'s EAD application
requesting my I140 approval & marriage certificate.

Does this affect our I485 application process ?
i.e. can we get 485 approval without getting EAD approval ?
Or can my 485 be approved & wife\'s application remain pending ?
Basically are 485 & EAD closely linked ?

My 485 was approved last month but EAD is still pending right now.
No RFE rcvd.
I think they are not closely linked.

Hopefully my lawyer will send th requisite papers quickly.

SujitC,

This past December and January when CSC was working on I-485
diligently, many people got their cases approved before getting
EAD and AP. They had had no EAD/AP for passport stamping. Thus,
EAD RFE will not affect your I-485 processing.
