Does a TN holder can apply for COBRA?
I was laid off in February 2009. My employer did not give me instruction to apply for COBRA. It is a small company 20 employee. Last week I talked with my employer and we are going to apply for COBRA this week.
I’m getting a new job, but I will need to wait for 3 more months to get rights for the new Health insurance with this new employer.
Is it OK to apply for COBRA? It will save me some money since individuals only pay 35% of their COBRA premiums.

Yes a TN who leaves a firm is entitled to apply for COBRA, if the firm is subject to COBRA.. There are time limits to making the claim.
