Does 485 LUD changes when 140 is approved?

Gurus,
The question is- would 485 LUD necessarily change when 140 is approved?
It is relevant to the people who do not have I140 number, but have concurrently filed 485 number. I am thinking if that can be the way to find about the I140 approval when company is not very happy to provide information about 140.

When my I-140 was approved LUD for I-485 also changed. After on month they issued and RFE for my I-485. This may be unrelated but that's what happened in my case.

It's easy, go to https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/login.jsp with your EAC numbers and register. You can then login and see the Last update date, as well as choose to receive email notifications when your case status changes.
