Folks,

Just a quick question:

I have sent my and my wife's DS 230 part I forms to NVC. I am expecting a December interview date. My wife would like to leave for India earlier ..around Oct. and we plan to come back together. I have already applied for her PCC and should get it before she leaves.

1). Is there anything I need to remember in terms of getting any forms signed from her?

So far as I understand, there is nothing that needs to be sent back to NVC now .. if that is the case and if there are any forms or docs that she would need to sign .. I can always get it signed from her when i am in India.

2). Is there anything that she would have to sign and that might be required to be notarized?? If that is the case, then I might have to get this done before she leaves. How about I-134 form?? Could this be an example that might require her signature before she leaves??

Please comment/help.

Thanks
S

{I can not think of any document that she would need to sign}

{You will be executing the I-134 for her. She need not sign this}

Pcc?

Sanjay
we both are sailing on similar boats i guess. I hv a very similar situation, yet one thing i dont understand is should i apply the PCC and get it back before the WIFE leaves for india or does the applying part alone is enough.
Im expecting my Packet 3 to come this week and if so by sept 21 or 23rd i want the p3 to go back to NVC and before this friday im planning to apply the PCC as well

PLs let me know if the wife has to stay until the PCC arrives in hand ?

/S

you would need the original passport for PCC. The consulate stamps the passport to indicate that a PCC has been issued. Hence your wife can only leave after you are done with PCC.

Hope both of you have your PCC In hand for the Oct. interview. Ideal planning should be that all your papers/docs. are in order by the time the interview date is set (exception 134, Employment letter). If not then it is better to travel together to avoid any undue surprises.
