Hi Guys:

I am thinking of inviting our parents here on visitor visa. Please share what all documents i need to send them to apply for visitor visa.

Our I-485 is pending and we(myself & spouse) are working on EAD and our advance parole is approved but we have not received it yet.

As far as I know, you cant "invite" or "sponsor" your parents for tourist visas... they will have to qualify by themselves and convince the consular officer that they dont intend to immigrate here...

immihelp site has some useful information for visitor visa. Just follow that.

In short, you should get a letter from bank atleast 5000k balance, I-134 [Affidavit of Support] notarized, letter from your HR stating your salary and benefits, your letter to US consulate inviting your parents. Your parents income tax, property documents(this will help Visa officer to evaluate their intention to return back) and a letter from them to US consulate telling their interest to see USA and not you alone.

Our 5th I-131 was apporved on 09/13/07 and we are still waiting for our approval documents.
now question is do i have to send approved I-131 document to support our parents visitor visa???

thank you

No I-131 documents are not needed to sponsor your parent's visa.
Those r just for purpose of your travelling out and returning to US without
abandoning your I-485 cases.

Your I-131, I-140, I-485 I-765, none of these are needed for inviting your parents to visit you and US. In fact you just need to attach copies of your passport with valid visa, if your visa is expired attach a copy of I-485 and I-765.

I am sorry for the printing mistake. You need to fill out I-134 [Affidavit of Support] and not I-131 and notarize it. You can notarize with your company notary(most big companies have one) or at mailboxes etc or at UPS location.
