Hello Guys,

Just now,I got a mail from chennai consulate that my interview date is 18th of May.In this regard, while waiting for P4 I am gathering all the documents required.

I was working for my Company X in US on H1 for 2 years (2000-2002), had holded AOS to change martial satus, and later moved to india for personal reasons but working for the same subisdary company in india and US office agreed to continue sponsor my GC,so filed I-824 to change from AOS to CP.But since I don't live/work in america, (it been 2 years)and my GC is purely a future job.

Will there be any partiular documents I need to carry to prove the consular officer on my future employement?

Also,Is there any difference between Employement Offer letter and Employment letter?

Please advice me,and also let me know if any of you are in the same boat.

Thanks

1. You need to carry Police Clearence Certificates from Indian Authorities. You need 2 PCCs.
- From RPO (Regional Passport Office)
- From police authorities serving your current residency (Local Police station/SP Office/Commisionar office...)

2. I-134 - You don't have to notarize it since it is of no use if it is done in india. Fill it and carry (Seperate I-134 for each dependent)

3. Important - Your current employment experience letter (from current job)

4. There is no change in employment letter format (since it is for future job). You can follow the below format:

MONTH DT, 2004

American Consulate General – Chennai
Immigrant Visa Section
220 Anna Salai
