after you get your green card.

what paperwork should i be keeping for getting my citizenship.

i had documentation issues when i got my GC. want to make sure i am organized when i go for citizenship.


paystubs?

banks statements?

credit cards statements?


is there any other documents that citizenship requires?

It will depend on the section of law under which you will eventually file for naturalization. Keep track of foreign travel regardless of basis for an N-400. IF it will be marriage based, then track evidence of a bona fide marriage. IF military based consult the Legal Assistance Office or JAG and do it early.

+1 for keeping track of travel. I kept a spreadsheet on my computer where I entered all my international travel during my permanent residency. I also entered exact dates for my addresses and job information into the same spreadsheet. It became very useful when the time came to fill out my application for citizenship form (N400).
