Hi Everyone, I thought I would create this thread for those that have been documentary qualified for DV2022. Please let us know if you have received your 2NL and your DV CN range so we can all keep in touch. Quite a few people have started receiving requests for documents to be submitted so I anticipate some people will receive 2NLs soonish if they sent their documents in without being asked.

Hi guys. Please help. In the event that the husband is the winner of the lottery, should the wife send her expired and new passport with a letter explaining the renewal of the passport? Knowing that when filling out her ds260, she put the passport number that has now expired. And does she also have to send a certificate of the police. thank you very much

1. You can either unlock the DS260 form and update the passport information, depending on your CN - highly recommended if the CN is high. Otherwise, send copies of both old and new passports.
2. Yes.
"The applicant and each family member who will accompany the applicant to the United States will need to submit scanned copies and any required translations of original documents or certified copies of the documents listed below from an appropriate office, authority, or issuing entity in your country. You will be required to bring the original documents to your visa interview at the U.S. embassy or consulate, along with any translations required."

Highly recommend you and your husband go through the below link thoroughly to ensure you are well prepared.

Thank you so much for your answer. I have also read the link you have sent me. However they said any "required" document and i have rceived the email requesting the documents 1nd regarding the passport it says "If the passport used by the principal applicant to enter the DV program differs from the one currently being submitted, you should also include a photocopy of the principal applicant's passport listed on the DV entry with a written explanation for the change to KCC." Thank you in advance for your feedback

So do you interpret that to mean you are not required to submit the PCC or how are you interpreting the word "required"?
And as the derivative, I already explained what you need to do with regards to your passport situation.

You say you've already gone through the link. Did you expand the section with the list of documents on that link? Because if you did, you should have seen where it says (under the Police Certificate section):

Which Applicants Need to Submit a Police Certificate
Each applicant aged 16 years or older must submit all required police certificates.

That section also provides some additional clarifications on who needs what when. Which is why I earlier on stated both you and your husband should carefully go through the link.

Thank you for the prompt answer. For the pcc your answer was clear that me and my husband should provide it. I had doubts still regarding the passport as it says in email requesting documents that if the passport used by the "principal applicant" is different we should send a copy of new and old one.

Didn't you say the passport information you listed on the DS260 for yourself has now expired and you've already obtained a new one? So based on that I provided you with a response on what you need to do about your passport situation, and here you are going on and on about what the email says about the principal applicant. I'm sorry I can't continue to repeat myself, so I suggest you take another look at my initial response about your passport as a derivative. Or hang around and hope someone will be willing to provide some additional response.
