My lawyer received a instruction packet, there is little confusion for me, in IMMIGRANT VISA PROCESSING AT MONTREAL: SUPPLEMENT TO INSTRUCTIONS FOR IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICANTS indicate original birth and marriage certificate and on normal instruction paper indicate Original or certified copy of Birth and married certificate.

My question is should I send ORIGINAL Birth and marriage Certificate or Certificate copy and keep original to take with me for Interview?

Do I have to also send one photocopy of documents together with Original / Certificated copy?

Send original documents, keep certified copies with you. The original documents will be returned to you at the interview.

No need to send photocopies, they make their own.

Why do you need a lawyer? It is a very simple & straightforward process, just follow the instructions.

If you need help, just go on this forum.
 
For my K-1 interview in Montreal in 2002, I sent my BC's copy with the forms and showed the original at the interview.
