DOB on wife's GC is wrong.

Hi,

Does anyone have this kind of experience? I know we need to file I-90 for the GC replacement. Can anyone tell us how to prepare the required documents and explanation?

look at the copies of the application you mailed to USCIS. as long as the error is from their end, they fix the date. if the error is from their end, call them and ask them where you need to send a correction request.

The error is from their end so I'll send them the evidances for the correction.

BTW, for the letter of explanation, where can I find an example?

you dont need a typical sample letter. all you need is to address the issue (write her A number so they dont get confused), submit a copy of her I-485 form you submitted originally, a copy of her passport and I-94 you sent at that time, and maybe copy of her driver license. send it to the service center your application was being processed. i would FedEx so that you get a delivery notice and signature. also copy the whole thing when you send it. these days their mailroom has decided to join the rest of the immigration in high quality service and it takes them months to just open the damn envelope.
