Hi everyone ……………………

My interview date scheduled for November 16, but still I didn’t received my 2nd letter, in fact I made so many mistakes on my online application, but all of them corrected on DS 230 form, and reported to KCC, and their reply was that my file has been updated with each new information, below is the list of these problems:

1- I have attached my middle name to the first name, but already split in Form DS 230.

2- My wife name mentioned N/A, but added in DS 230 Form.

3- Petitioner name, Am the principal applicant, but in each family member DS 230 Form, I typed his/her name as the petitioner.

4- Baby DS 230 Form sent back to KCC without signature, and mentioned N/A.

5- Here one more big problem, only I discovered yesterday by checking DV 2010 photos requirements, which post & discussed by other members, I found all the photos I submit with online application are with white background, except my baby one, which it’s of dark blue one and some black shades around the head, but those which I send along with DS 230 Forms are OK.

Now after all this mentioned above what do you think? Still I have good chance to pass my CP Interview? Or it’s that much big, so I have to stop and save the money expenses of 4 persons (Medical & Interview) fees.

2- My wife name mentioned N/A, but added in DS 230 Form.
When did you got married? before or after the electronic submission? Did you said that you are married in the original electronic form? or did you just didn't put your wife name?

If you are married when you filled the electronic submission but didn't say that you are married, this can cause disqualification.

3- Petitioner name, Am the principal applicant, but in each family member DS 230 Form, I typed his/her name as the petitioner.

This mistake can easily be fixed. One of the most common mistakes on the DS-230 form.

4- Baby DS 230 Form sent back to KCC without signature, and mentioned N/A.[/COLOR]

Again, same question. Did you mentioned your baby name on the electronic submission? did you had the baby before or after the electronic submission?

5- Here one more big problem, only I discovered yesterday by checking DV 2010 photos requirements, which post & discussed by other members, I found all the photos I submit with online application are with white background, except my baby one, which it’s of dark blue one and some black shades around the head, but those which I send along with DS 230 Forms are OK.

I never heard case where people get denied because of photo error after receiving the first NL. Since it is only your baby's picture that has the error, they might let you change the picture during the interview by giving the consular the correct picture with the right format.

Here is the electronic instruction link: http://travel.state.gov/pdf/2009DVInstructions.pdf

Quote from the instruction:

14. NUMBER OF CHILDREN: Entries must include the name, date and place of birth of your spouse and all natural children, as well as all legally-adopted children and stepchildren, who are unmarried and under the age of 21 (do not include children who are already U.S. citizens or Legal Permanent Residents), even if you are no longer legally married to the child’s parent, and even if the spouse or child does not currently reside with you and/or will not immigrate with you. Note that married children and children 21 years or older are not eligible for the diversity visa. Failure to list all children who are eligible will result in disqualification of the principal applicant and refusal of all visas in the case at the time of the visa interview.

15. SPOUSE INFORMATION - Name, Date of Birth, Gender, City/Town of Birth, Country of Birth, Photograph. Failure to list your spouse will result in disqualification of the principal applicant and refusal of all visas in the case at the time of the visa interview.

Failure to submit the required photographs for your spouse and each child will result in an incomplete entry to the E-DV system. The entry will not be accepted and must be resubmitted. Failure to enter the correct photograph of each individual in the case into the E-DV system will result in disqualification of the principal applicant and refusal of all visas in the case at the time of the visa interview.

If most of the mistakes that you mentioned like wife name, baby name happened in the electronic forms, I don't see the chance of passing the CP interview, but if the mistakes is on the DS-230, you'll have a chance.

I am married since five years before my online application, and also got the baby 2 years back before my online application, in general my mistake was like misplacing them not changing, all other DOB & POB without any problem.

More Details for Problem Easy Understanding ..........

I am married since five years before my online application, and also got the baby 2 years back before my online application, in general my mistake was like misplacing them not changing, all other DOB & POB without any problem.

I applied for the whole family members with me (online application) that means nothing reported as family addition, after the first notification.

If I understand correctly, you made a lot of mistakes on the DS-230 and not the electronic form. In that case, you should be ok

Just send KCC a new updated DS-230 with all the corrections.

I guess I missed something in ahmed71 question.

What do you mean by misplacing? Do you mean you didn't put the important information on the original entry? Looks like you missed a lot of crucial information on the original electronic entry that can lead to disqualification. :(

You didn't

Hi Dear Tazmania, I think you got the whole problem very clear, but I didn't hear your opinion about it, now I think everything is over since my interview already scheduled, just I am here to hear from all people about it, no need to be the whole thing, it's ok if it's about one problem only of that total, but they had experienced it or heard about it from somebody else (post or comment), recently or in the past years , so feel free to post your comment or opinion, I know nobody is lawyer or Embassy consul, we are just helping each other till we pass that day.......................................

Ok lets figure out your problems

1- I have attached my middle name to the first name, but already split in Form DS 230.
That means you wrote both names in one field? Should not a problem.

2- My wife name mentioned N/A, but added in DS 230 Form.
Why the hell did you that?

3- Petitioner name, Am the principal applicant, but in each family member DS 230 Form, I typed his/her name as the petitioner.
Not a problem.

4- Baby DS 230 Form sent back to KCC without signature, and mentioned N/A.
Should not be a problem.

5- Here one more big problem, only I discovered yesterda
Maybe a problem.

What does it mean?

Today I have reveived my 2NL, I found all the names mentiond in it, as I entered in online application, not according the correction which I made in the DS-230 forms, Does it has any meaning or sign? or it's normaly used to be issued according the information provided in online application...............

Current Job Letter

One of the documents listed in the 2NL as interview required documents, is Current Job Letter, beside also the Affidavit of Support, so what do you think about the content of this letter (I meant this letter should state or report what in details?) and also it would be better in case there is some samples of it, in this forum.
