Do you think is fair to pay twice for the same?

Hi everybody,
I already posted before that my Advance Parole got approved but I never received at home.
I called VSC and the only solution was to apply again.
I went to a local office and they will do it only if I pay again. I asked why to pay again and they told me: "We can not be sure that you didn't received them" (we are all terrorist before is proven the contrary???, I was thinking is the other way around), I told them that how they can think I will go there asking for some papers if I already got them???.... but you know then they don't even listen to you....
I already processed with them because I need to travel very soon....... but....
Do you know if they are a place to complaint about this things?

when did u apply?

Could u please let me know when did u apply for EAD & AP renewal? I applied on Nov. RD 14 th Nov & ND Nov 20. My current EAD expires on Jan 02, 2003. So I am wondering what r my chances & other alternatives to get it by then?

wait till u meet the President , then u will not ask where to complaint, the higher u go, the hawkish it is, atleast at the ground level there are some AMerican values left

I applied at the VSC for Advance Parole because is were my case was pending.
RD Advance Parole October 17, 2002
ND Advance Parole October 22, 2002
AD Advance Parole November 22, 2002 (online status)
Never received at home the documents

For the EAD I also applied in VSC but this was before and I already got everything.

Uti, they will be on time for your renewals, I was only unlucky that my envelope got somehow lost. But if you don;t receive them with the due time then you can go to the local office. I'm in NJ and the closest one is Cherry Hill. They take care of the situation.... maybe you have to pay again, but they take care...

I feel you have sent the renewals a little bit late. Normally they say from 60-90 days for EAD. I received mine in about 30 days but this was in september. Check in the forum how long they are taking now for EAD.
AP you can see that mine god approved in around 30 days. But this one is not essential, EAD is more important if you don't have a visa and you work based on it.

Thank you very much for the information. Do u think I can approach CherryHill office just to give a try? mostly they are going to say that I have to wait till I hear from VSC.

Right now I am thinking of asking my employer to help us out by applying H-1B. This is what my attorney also suggests. :confused: :confused:

It's difficult to give suggestions, also depends on every case. Anyway you can give a trial to Cherry Hill, probably they will tell to wait for VSC, but minimum you can ask if the date of expirantion get close if they will be able to help. I don;t know how they deal with EAD I only have the expirience of AP.
I have ask around how long it takes now to aprove EAD in VSC but I am still waiting for the answer....
If you decide to go to Cherry Hill, not on Wendnesday,this is only for appointments. The other days if you just arrive a little bit before 8 o'clock and wait outside, they open at eight, you can get out of there quite fast.
