Do we need update USC status in Drivers License ?

When I first took the drivers license, my status was permanent resident. After becoming a US citizen, does the status is updated in Drivers license automatically or do we need to inform Motor Vehicle Administration about the new status ?

I am not sure about the DMV thou. I had to do my name change on my DL so i had to connect DMV anyway.

However, you need to update your status to SSA.

They don't care about your status. No need to do anything with the DL.

Is it necessary to update record with SSA after you become citizen? Any law or website??

I didn't make a special trip to the DMV just for this reason. When my drivers license was up for renewal, I just took my US passport and they updated it at that time.

Is it necessary to update the SSA? I just dread the long lines at local SSA office, since they don't accept the forms by mail even for updating the records.
