Do we need to inform BCIS about job change?

Hi Guys,
My RD is 3/5/2002. I was with company A till Feb 2003 who sponsored my GC i.e. close to a year after filing my 480. I got laid off but I have good terms with them ( I believe they didn't revoked my I-140 ) Now I got a new job. Is it mandatory to inform BCIS about my job change?

It has been discussed a lot of times before. It is a good thing not to inform BCIS about your job change.
