Do we need to Apply for EAD

I have a Question about my EAD.

I just have EAd till Oct 2008 for both be & my wife. We just got our 7th year Extension of H1-B now its valid till 2011. And I am not planning on changing my empolyer.

So Do we need to Apply for my EAD?

EAD is an option not a must. If you use it apply, if not just let it go. You can apply later if you want even after years of expiration of the current EAD.
