Do we need our passport for the Biometric appointment

Guys,
I have my biometrics on aug 9th, and i dont have my passport with me. I have sent the passport for renewal and it will take a month to get the new passport. Is it necessary to have your passport for the Biometric appnt or any other form of ID (drivers license) is ok. Please help.

I believe any government issued photo ID should be fine.
