Do we need approved petition for stamping

Hi,

I am in india now and I have applied for H1B petition but it is not yet approved but I have EAC number with me, can i still go ahead and get the visa stamping date?

I wanted to take visa stamping date now because otherwise it would be very late if i do it after my petition is approved.

Please help !!

----------- You have not applied for H1 visa petition it is US employer who has filed H1 petition with USCIS for you. you just have fling reciept copy and you need H1 approval copy. wait for the approval
