Do we must have 2 FPs before I-485 get approved?

Hi Gurus,

I've heard bad roumers that toward I-485 approval, an applicant must do 2 Finger prints (FP1 and after sometime FP2).
Is it true? Isn't one FP enough?
If this is true, what is the time frame between FP1 to FP2?

EB2: I-140/I485 ND:11/10/03
I-140 AD:06/14/04 (No RFE)
FP: ???
Thanks in advance.

That's not true. I've seen plenty of people getting approval after just one fingerprinting (mostly people with mid-late 2003 ND's).

In the past, because of the delays and because of the way things were handled, people often ended up doing FP 2+ times but the USCIS is now trying to only ask for FP when they feel they will be able to process the I-485 within 15 months (before the FP expires).

As the older cases get processed, I expect that there will be very few instances of multiple fingerprinting.
