Do we have enough proof?

Well, my wife and I have our I-485 interview in less than 2 weeks (I am the citizen and sponser). We have a joint bank account with both our names on it and current address, a life insurance policy with my wife as the beneficiary if anything happens to me, she has several bills and statements with only her name on it but our current address and I have several bills with just my name on it but showing our current address. We have the rental agreement of our current address. We have many pictures of our wedding, pictures of trips together from the past 5 years together. Plane tickets together and a few other micellaneous items from us being together for 5 years. Does this sound like enough "proof of our life together" to bring to our interview. If not is there anything else we should take to the interview? Also, if we need anything else with both names on a statement to prove we have a life together, does anyone have any suggestions on what we can get at this late date? Thanks and I'm nervous about this! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Btw, still waiting for the damn EAD approval. Over 110 days and counting, we are planning to wait until after the interview to take care of it.

Chill.

If you indeed lived together for several years, you shouldn't have a problem. Most people just breeze through these family adjustment interviews. You can allways encounter an a-hole officer who wants to give you a hard time, but most of them are fairly normal human beings.

You are the best hadron, thanks for answering so quick!
We've been living together for the past 7 months (since we were married in July). But we've been going out for over 5 years now, really.
The thing that is somewhat annoying is that we haven't heard back about that darn EAD yet. I just hope there are no complications or mistakes we made with it. We canceled the infopass appointment because we don't want to have to take off another day from work since the I-485 interview is so soon. Maybe it'll appear in the mail in the meantime.

The answer was YES!!!

Big thanks to hadron for the advice!! We had NO PROBLEM with the interview and my wife now has her Green Card (actually she has the stamp, the actual card should be coming in a few weeks). The agent couldn't have been nicer and she didn't try to trip us up or confuse us. Interview only took about 20 mins, tops. This was Newark, N.J. Thanks again and I'll give a more detailed account of the interview at a later date

For anyone else in a similar situation, the agent did tell us that she also had others tell her that the EAD/I-765 has been late or very slow in being sent out. She checked the computer for us and it showed that my wife's EAD was approved but it just wasn't sent out yet. We still hadn't recieved it as of Sat. 3/11. But at least my wife doesn't need it anymore!

Congrats !

I told you, if you are in fact married and lived together, you won't have a problem. Enjoy your married life, pay your taxes and don't get divorced. In two years nine months your wife is eligible to file for citizenship and in 4 years everything will be done and over with.

And don't hold your breath regarding the plastic card. The 'couple of weeks' is in 'USCIS time' (--> maybe a couple of weeks, but it might be 6-9 months).

(don't forget to complain to your congressman about the tardy work of a goverment agency that should serve you. you are a citizen, your congressman is obliged to listen to you.)

Thanks Again hadron for all your advice and also for the heads up in regards to the wait time for the actual G.C. I will obviuosly monitor the situation. I'll give a more detailed account of the interview when I have some more time to give others a heads up but basically just keep it legitimate. When the agent saw the pictures of myself and my wife with my family from 5 years ago it was a done deal. She was actually a lot more personable than I thought she'd be from some of the other horror stories I've heard about some interviews. If your relationship is real than you'll have no problem.
