Do they still process AP/EAD before 140 approval?

Hi all,

I filed my 140 / 485 with AP EAD in Nov. 140 has not been processed. However, no progress on AP/EAD either. I wonder if they still process AP EAD before 140 approval? It seems the practice has changed a while ago.
