Hello
As per I-130( which I am planning to file for my mother) ...it requires BC to prove that I was born to my mother.
I do not have one.....I submitted 3 affidavits for my GC.

What is the best way to overcome this....
I am from India.

Is there any work around...

Thanks
Dan

You still need affidavits (this time your mother cannot sign the affidavit). Maybe other people who were around when you were born can help.

You can contact the Indian embassy and they will issue one for her.

Read more about the services Indian Embassy Houston, TX provides:

http://www.cgihouston.org/miscell.html

Issue of a Birth certificate cost only US$ 20.00.

You can download forms here too, print them and order your requirement. You can order by mail however walk-ins are also available, now it all depends in which city you live! If not Houston then contact he nearest Indian Embassy to your city.

You can search www.google.com for 'indian embassy' then your city name and you will find one near by!

Good Luck!

Hi Ravi,
You can tell that to the Indian Embassy and they will accommodate and incorporate all that for you, I know because I worked for the HCI London for a couple of years.

I hope this inspires you,

I have read good feedback about these guys.

FYI: If you plan to get birth certificate from embassy, then you should also be prepared for it to be rejected. As i have been reading on this forum and mainly on the employment forums, the rejection rate is pretty high when birth certificate from embassy is submitted (few applicants were lucky though)

Reason: The embassy provides the birth certificate based on your passport.. and if you rewind a little bit, you need to submit proof of birth when you apply for passport. If you dont have proof of birth, then the date of birth on your passport itself is questionable.

I used their services for Non availability certificate. After spending $52, lot of communication, i got it done in 5 1/2 months. Even after that, they put my grandfather's name instead of my father's name.
