Do my parents have to go to counsulate?

My parents are over 70 yrs old . Dad is 80. Do they have to go to counsulate?
In either case I would like to know the experience of bringing older parents ..
I have a green card and what papers do I have to provide.

All visa applicants must appear; if they cannot handle the consulate, they are not likely to be able to handle international travel.

Look at the USCIS website and forum; there is a lot of information already posted.

If you do bring them, be sure to get travel medical and repatriation insurance.

The consulate will decide whether they want to interview them or not.
My 84 year old grandmother was interviewed over the phone two years ago in Pakistan.

Do they have to go to counsulate?
