do I really have to go back to Japan to get a stamp?

I have an H1b visa. I get a stamp when I go back to Japan, from the US Embassy in Japan for re-entry to the USA. Its good for a year. I am thinking of going to Europe for a 2 week break and worried that I can't get back in as my re-entry stamp will be expired. I am assuming and hoping there is another way of being allowed back if I go to Europe for a break? Surely i don't have to go to Japan to get a stamp b4 I can go to Europe - right?

Thank you

Yumi

getting the visa stamp in japan is safe, but you can try it at US authority in canada or mexico or whatever other country although there is a risk of denial.

Hi Yumi

Hello, are you in the US with h1 now?
I'm also in same situation with you. I need to get stamp for reentry. I might try mexico or canada, but really scared if they reject it, since we can't go back into US.

Anyway, nice to meet you. My name's Sonny.. email me back if you have a chance. ssgg97@aol.com

See you

Sonny
