Hi all
I am a British citizen who currently lives in England. 15 years ago my uncle met a US woman whilst he was on holiday in the states. They fell in love and two years later they married, he moved to the states and became a US citizen.
I have visited the states many times over the years and and after I complete my final year at University I would like to spend some time with my uncle, find some work and possibly stay indefinitely.
I have done some research and I understand how difficult it is to get a work visa or a green card unless your super rich or highly skilled. My uncle says he would be willing to sponsor me, would he be able to as we aren't immediate family ? (son, dad).
To complicate things more I am adopted but I was kept in the family. Biologically he is my uncle but by law he is my cousin. Weird I know, but that's how it is.
I know its a long shot but I love the states. If I cant get sponsored then that's cool, ill have to increase my holidays to three weeks at a time.
Thanks
Paul
