Hi Folks,

I was in the US on a 3 year TN until last month when I had resigned from my job and had moved back to Canada. My TN visa still has 2 more years to go. And I still have my I-94.

Can somebody please let me know if I need to return the I-94 ? or if I need to inform any other department about my departure ?

Just want to make sure that I do everything by the book to avoid any hassles in case I need to apply for a new TN-1 sometimes in the future.

Thanks in advance

If you moved back to Canada, you DEFINITELY need to return your I-94. The instructions are at the back of your I-94.

This is more important if your I-94 is nearing expiry, but giving it back provides definite proof (as it is intended) that you left US.
