Do I need to pay App Fee for my EAD

Hello All,
I was reading through the instructions and came across a section that goes like this...

You may file the I-765concurrently with your I-485, or you may submit the I-765 at alater date. My 485 went in on Oct 2005. Is it true that I don't have to pay EAD fees? Has any one filed 485 before July 30th 2007 and applied for EAD recently .

I file 485 in March 06...Filed 3rd EAD in Jan 08. I paid the fee.

I was under the impression that NO FILING FEE for EAD if 485 filed AFTER July 07.

You should pay the Fee of $340 for EAD and $305 for AP. This is how it works. If you paid around $375 for your I485, then you need to pay the above amount everytime you renew the EAD/AP. If you pay around $985 for your 485, then no EAD fee is required.

Unless you applied the I-485 with the revised fee recently, you have to pay the AP EAD individually with the revised fees. My lawyer confirmed this and I renewed my EAD and AP again this year, and got approvals.
