Do I need to file I-864?

Hi,

I am on H1B visa and my wife will be US citizen on January 30th 2008. My wife will be sponsoring my green card. I printed out all the documents using the following link:

It includes a form I-864 which is Affidavit of Support. I-864 means that my sponsor (my wife) will be able to support my expenses and stuff.

I don't think this form applies to me since I am currently working for a government company full time and do not need to be supported. I have been working there since May 2006.

What do you ppl think?

that form applies to you, just like it applies to every family immigrant.

The I-864 is required..... See it more like your nuts, your carrots will look funny without them.... Just complete it and be done...
