Do I need this Approval Letter ?

I rec Card already last week , and letter was mailed out on 01/10 as mentioned below , have not rec yet , believe it got lost in the mail , Do I need this letter ? I don't believe so since I rec the actual G/Card already.

You probably do not need it, but I would bug INS about it. Wait till January 25 and then call INS. Let them resend that letter if it will not come by then. Sometimes it can take couple weeks, especially if they say it was sent on January 10, but actually maid it to mailing department on January 11. Then federal holiday, weekends...

You never know, that letter might be handy someday in case you lose your card of whatever other reason. But on the other hand, maybe the LETTER=GC, and that is what they mean?
