I need some help.

when I file i-485, i am married status. But I didn't add my husband into my application at that time. while I am waiting for i-485, i devorced. Do i need make the change on my application from married to devorce? Or i can ignore it since my ex-husband is not included in my application. Does immigration office allow the incorrect married status in the application?

If I have to correct it before they issue the green card to me, can i change it myself by calling or writing to them?

thanks very much for any information.

In my opinion, when you filed your 485, you were married and that is what you put in your application. So nothing wrong with that. Now your marital status has changed. I do not think you actively need to inform it to USCIS. As far the question of correcting it in your file, I think even if you send them a letter with this fact, most likely it will not reach your file. But there is no harm in trying I guess.
