Do I need certified copies of tax returns

My interview is supposed to be in a month. I was organizing paperwork and I realized I do not have the original tax returns or W2 for some years, only the transcripts I got from the IRS online tool

Do I need the certified copies from IRS?

Also sponsor is not showing on application but I stayed in the same field (GC is almost 7 years old). I only have last paystub and termination notice (only stayed 4 months after gc). Company is out of business now. I do not know if they will ask any paperwork on sponsor.

About Tax Returns:

Go to the IRS Website and download Tax Transcripts. They are valid proof. You don't need Tax Returns if you have IRS Transcripts.

Did they ask you for Tax docs or you just carrying them to be on safe side ?

They did not ask me for the documents. They only asked for passports and gc

I downloaded the transcripts from the IRS website and will take those copies.
