I was reading this article on Updates page in this site
"The Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) reminds aliens who have applied to adjust status to that of permanent resident that they must obtain Advance Parole (Form I-131-- Application for Travel Document) from the INS before traveling abroad (see INS Travel Advisory Questions and Answers). Travel outside of the United States may have severe consequences for certain aliens who are in the process of adjusting their status. Such aliens may be unable to return to the United States, their applications may be denied, or both"
Is it applicable to Employment based application. I have a valid H1 Visa thru end of next year can i travel to India in Jan before which i may not get my AP
Thanks

Re

As long as you have not yet used your EAD, you can
travel using valid H1B visa. No need for an AP.
That's the general pratice used by most people.
Again, I am not an attorney nor this is legal advice for you.
Use with caution.

Using EAD

Open,

Generally, it is assumed that when you start using EAD, your H1 is automatically canceled or become invalid.

In this case, it is always safer to have your AP before travel.

Thanks
