Hello,

Please help me with this. My husband has filed for my GC. We ourselves studied the forms and filed them. now we have the GC interview in a few days and now I found out that there is a mistake in one form (this is from my point of view but my husband says that whatever is mentioned is right). So to clarify this doubt we spoke to an attorney and she said that it is indeed a mistake and suggested us to hire her and accompany her to our GC interview and that she will tell the officers that it was a mistake. So please let me know accompanying attorney is good or not. Or can only me and my husband handle it.

Please help me !!!

If it's an honest mistake that would not affect your eligibility, there's no need to pay a lawyer several hundred dollars to tell them what you can tell them yourself.

If there are other things you might disagree about in the interview, discuss them and sort out the disagreements before the interview. Differences between what each of you says can complicate your case and result in denial.
