Do i need a lawyer to petition?

im a US citizen and want to get a petition for my mother.

do i need a lawyer to do this? or is there a form out there where i can download and send in? any help would do thanks! :D
 
go to the website uscis.gov and download the forms you will need.

if your mom is already here it will be easy.

you will need to file I-130, I-485, G325A for you and her, I-864

also she needs to have a medical exam, and depending on where you file they will either notify you or you have to send it with the application

the form is I-693.

thats pretty much it.

also you may want to apply for advanced parole or a work permit but that's optional.

wow do i have to fill out all those forms? i thought it was only one?

but if i have to i will, yes sh'es already here, good to hear it will be easy.
