I have a friend who got a job in US, but his employer is very frugal and only want to mail him the offer letter via email.

Can he printout this offer letter and go to the border? or he has to bring the original offer letter?

I remembered that my employer used to Fedex me the original offer letter.

Your friend wioll find out when he goes to the border. It;s up to the offcer. Sounds like your friend is beginning work for a real winner! Do they provide toilet paper in the bathrooms?

I will be more concerned if they are saving money on mailing offer letters (max 10 for priority domestic mail)

some people have successfully used digitally signed letter or scans for TN. Some people were told no based on this. So it depends who you get or if they have more recently agreed that digitally signed and/or scan is okay.

it's best to call the border and ask and take the name of the agent who gave you the information.

if this becomes issue PRINT the EMAIL showing date, time , address contact info etc
then print the letter, i dont know if he can login into email and show them on phone. You can request officer if he would like to call employer n verify
you can ask for his business license or can search on the state website and print.

My last 2 TNs have been with emailed support letters. You should be fine. Even if not, then you waste a few days while they fedex you a wet-ink signed letter. No big deal.
