Do I have right to ask for green card?

Hello,

I'm Croatian. I've found out few years ago that my grandgrandgrandfather went in US with his wife in 1900. My grandgrandfather was born there around 1917. Around 1920 my grandgrandfrather returned with his mother back to Croatia because they got divorced. My grandfather was born in Croatia. Is it possible for me to ask for green card according to my family tree that goes all the way from US, state of NY.

It is your right to ask for anything. Of course it is USCIS's right to refuse your request. Save yourself the time and energy.

If you're entitled to something based on your ancestry it would be US citizenship, not a green card.

If none of your grandparents or parents lived in the US before you were born, you don't qualify for US citizenship based on your ancestry.

However if one of your parents or siblings is living in the US, you may be able to obtain a green card through a lengthy immigration process depending on their immigration status, your age, and your marital status.
