Do height and weight matters?

What if there are moderate changes in weight since filing N400? and the height remain the same but the height put down on N400 is a little off due to miscalculation when converting from cms to feet/inches (the error is about 1 inch). The funny thing is that wrong height has always been used on all IDs that ask for height (DL, I-485 etc) so that it may be wrong to correct it.

Such a discrepancy is not something that would cause an application to be delayed.

Do you mean the IO can not tell 1 in difference or just does not care even
he is told to correct differences? I doubt they have a weight scale or a ruler
in their offices.

You are in BIG trouble.

USCIS has dedicated dept to check and catch this kind of mistake. They scan your complete body when you enter the building, and result from scan will tell them your exact weight, height, gender, what you did last night, what you ate in morning etc. Again, you are in trouble.

Just kidding. :D Nothing sort of that happens. I guess if you are 4ft and write 6ft in the application, that can cause issue. Few mm, cm or inch's, I wouldn't worry. :)

The IO is taking your word for it. If you wish to correct your weight or height at interview, it's a non issue in terms of overall effect of your application.

A friend of mine was denied because he was 2 lbs heavier at the interview that the listed weight on his N400....:D....obviously I am kidding!!

He was a bit unlucky I suppose. The IO gave me a warning and put me on a 3 week diet and exercise plan to reduce my weight to the exact ounce :D. He used to meet me at the Gym every morning at 6.00 AM to make sure I was not taking any "immoral" steps to reduce instead or they could have denied my application for lack of moral character. :D:D

Sorry! just trying to keep it lively.

You are lucky that he kept meeting in gym ;) . :D:D

He didn't invite you in parked car on Queens Blvd.

Oh yeah, can you imagine interview
- Sir could you step on the scale.
- OMG you indicate in N-400 that you're 190 lbs, but as far as i can see you're 195.
- But Sir/ma'am .....
No sir/ma'am me.... DENIED

or

Sir is any changes since you filed N-400?
yes sir/ma'am Im short on 20 inches.

After all these jokes, I think the only time it will be an issue is if/when you are stopped by law enforcement or immigration on re-entry, and on secondary/tertiary inspection they wonder why the height is not as stated on the documents. That might make them do some more investigation (and this is only if they had other reasonable cause) and hold you for another hour or so.

Height and weight are used for description purposes only. I doubt that law enforcement or immigration would hold someone longer to investigate when their description is not up to date or inaccurate.

I was actually 20 pounds lighter at my interview than I was when I filed my n400 4 month earlier, i actually mentioned that to the IO during the interview and he said it was a non-issue (he actually said good job on the weight loss :D)

10 Bonus Points on the Good Moral Character score if you are the same weight on the N-400 as you were on the I-485 :)

Maybe FBI name check include match by height. If height is not correct, can USCIS ask FBI name check to be re-done?

FBI name check is done by name and DOB, not weight, height or eye color.
But if your name and DOB matches a criminal, they can compare your weight, height, and/or eye color to figure out that you are not the same person. Although weight is almost useless unless they have a recently recorded weight of the criminal.

True, but that is done as a secondary check rather part of initial background check, just like they would check your address and other biographical information if they come up with a match against your name.

Eye Colour

I always write balck for my eye colour but when I went to fp or something regarding my GC, the lady looked at the application and looked at my eye and corrected to Brown.... she didn't even ask or say anything. I continue t use black in all the papers, my eye colour is kinda black/brown :)

Now that you mention it, I remember my IO told me during the interview that from all his studies in science (or CIS regs I forget), he understands that there is no black color. However, he said I am going to accept what you wrote (black) on the form ... there seems to be a place for it.
