Do DV2011 winners going for an interview in London need to show bank statements and how much?

Hi I have been getting all my documents together as per the DV selectees website and nowhere on there does it mention anything about bank statements or affidavit of support. I only stumbled across this by reading these threads. Does anyone know if a DV lottery winner needs any of this as it does not say anything about this on any website?

I dont really know if I can help since I had my interview in Paris (even tho I live in London) and applied as single
I had my interview 2 weeks ago, and I just had 5000euros in my account,
As proof of funds, they told me I just could give them ONE bank statement OR a employement contract with annual salary OR a paycheck slip OR a tax year sheet

I gave them all of the above to be sure lol... and they didn t ask me nothing about money or whatever during the interview....

But before the interview I sent an email to the US embassy in Paris to ask them which kind of proof they would need and how much money I should have, so I guess you should do the same cause there are too many contradictory answers on the forums, so if I was you, I would ask the US embassy directly, they surely have an email contact somewhere

Good luck!

Thanks, did your second notification letter mention anything about affidavit of support or bank statements? Mine does not and many people are saying that if it does not mention it, then it is not required?

Look... it's different for each country.
On my 2NL I had nothing listed, they just told me to look at the web site dvselectees
So this is why the only way to know for sure is to send an email or call the US embassy in the country where you going to have your interview, and they will tell you what you need to bring. Look at what I sent to them and what they reply:

Subject: DV Lottery documentation

Hi,

I will have my interview for the DV Lottery 2011 at the US Embassy in Paris and I want to make sure I will have all the required documents.
Would it be possible to send me back a list with all the required documents for the DV lottery interview?

I'm a french citizen, and most of my documents are in french. Do I need to translate them in english for the interview?
Also, I would like to know if an affidavit of support is mandatory or should it be possible just to bring along pay slips or bank statements?

Thanks,

Dear Ms. B*******,
As a Diversity Lottery selectee, you will have to bring your original diplomas and copies and all the gathered documents, recent less than 3-month old birth certificate and marriage (if applicable), divorce decrees if applicable, police certificates from France and all countries where you resided for at least one year as of age 16, the medical results, one photo, your passport and financial evidence such as recent bank statements, saving accounts and such.

We hope that this information is helpful.

Sincerely,
