I was wondering how driving record looks like? Is there anything inside beside tickets etc?

I never had traffic violations, but was unsure should I obtain it for interview – just in case. What is your opinion? Might be a proof of residence etc.

In California it is simple
Go to DMV - Stand in line show them your Drivers license and get a record for 5 dollars.

Tell them you want it for Employment....They do not understand if you say you want it for Immigration

Write to them if you can't visit DMV

Just write to DMV with your information such as your driv lic #, exp date, date of birth and request them to mail you a copy of driv record for the last 3 years. There is a fees associated with that (check with your local DMV). You may have to send either money order or cashiers check. Provide them your mailing address where you like them to send you your driv record. You should receive it in the mail in 2 weeks.

New York DMV offers the option of ordering a driving record online. I'm sure that California has something similar.

If I didn’t have any traffic violations, should I order it at all?
I recall reading in here that one IO requested a driving record from an applicant, even though the applicant did not have any driving infractions. While I would agree that in 99.9% of cases you won't need it if your driving record is clean, consider ordering it for peace of mind. At $5, the CA DMV record is a fairly cheap "insurance policy" and it might just mean the difference between being approved immediately and being approved several weeks later.
