Hi..I came to US on f1 student visa,in Jan I got married to a us citizen Mexican girl.so I stopped paying my school fees due to the expenses of marriage and gc forms.later I found out that my wife was mentally sick and she tried to kill me two times and she was arrested two times for that.I applied immigration papers in first week of june2011.the immigration sent me a letter asking for my birth certificate and proof of tax filing, which I have and also I filed joint tax for the last year with ma wife for 125percent guideline.the immigration has also asked the proof of earning through a lawful source for my wife who filed taxes as self employed.,which I can't get now because she's filed for divorce a month ago and there's no contact among us.can u please suggest what should I do.?I have the copy of reports from the police for her arrests for trying to kill me and making me a slave.my visa is valid till 2014 but I stopped paying for ma school after I got married.please suggest me how I can go with ma gc application which is in the process..? Thanx

And she has also sent letter to the immigration for withdrawal of her i130petition,will that have any effect?how can I get an interviewcall from them?

Dude, get a good immigration lawyer. You're headed for a royal pile of cow dung and you need a good pilot to help you navigate this minefield.

I thought slavery was abolished in this day and age?

Good luck!

I think you need to get a lawyer. Your interview is to know if you enter the marriage in good faith and if you deserve to be a GC holder as spouse of a USC. If you have already your interview date...at least show up with a lawyer in hand and all the paperwork stated. Unfortunately, the law is not much forgiven if the USC change his/her mind.
