Hello everyone...
I'm new here...

Here's my situation:

I married a US citizen in 2004 and got my Permanent Resident Card July 2006
...we got divorced soon after (around October)

Now, I have that Permanent Resident Card that expires in 10 years...and supposelly can be renewed..etc...

I am curreantly engaged to marry again in 2009/2010.

Is it going to affect me in ANY way???

Should I notify the Immigration?

As far as I knew I was on my own after I got that Permanent Resident Card (after the 2 yr conditional one was replaced), but now, I am actually not sure.

Please give me your input on all this, thank you very much!!!!!!!:)

You have your 10 year card now, you are free and clear. No need to tell INS anything. Your 10 year card cannot be taken from former husband anymore.

^^ Good to hear. Now, when time comes to renew it...I just simply follow whatever instructions needed, right? Tks :)

Yes, read and Follow directions, very simple.

You really don't need a lawyer for this. You could also consider US Citizenship after 3 years if married to US Citizen, 5yrs if not married to US Citizen.

Enjoy life now. From your post your GC expires in 2017 right? so don't worry about it, and don't let your ex think he can prevent you from staying here....it's not up to him anymore.

The citizenship application must be made now after 5 years, since she divorced the US citizen through whom she obtained the GC.

Other than notifying USCIS when you move (filing AR-11) there is nothing else you need to do.
