divorce while the I-485 case is pending

Can anyone give me some advice on my case.
My wife is an american and she sponsored an I-485 for a green card. We interviewed 5 months ago, and we did not get a result. He said he was going to review the case further. At this point our marriage has broken down, and we are not even living together. We are planning a divorce, and I hope to marry my old gilfriend who is also a citizen. What are the dangers,... will they approve another I-485 through my future wife?
 
Most probably USCIS will think that you marry somebody for the sole purpose of getting a green card.
Why did they need to review more?

You are not out of status. Your pending I-485 will keep your status legal.

Also, additional review not necessarily means that INS is going to deny the case. Usually they take longer to make decision if/when wife/husband are from different background (i.e. religion, race etc.).
