I have been in the US more than 3 years and received my 10 year unconditional green card about 1 1/2 year ago.
Now I'm getting divorced because my wife and I seem to have grown apart ... sad story if you ask me. But, life goes on so:
What steps do I need to take regarding my residency?
- I heard you don't need to notify USCIS. Is that true?
- Do I have to take action to get a new sponsor?
- Anything else I would need to take into concideration or need to do?
What if I renew my card after 10 years?
- Will I still need a sponsor?
- Will my marriage or divorce come up at that time?
I don't care to much for citizenship at this point and I know the 3 year / 5 year rules for being married / not married.
Thanks,
Victor
