I will be filing form I-751 in January 2009. The problem is that my husband has been involved in all kinds of charges - theft, felony assault, driving with a suspended license and the list goes on. It has become difficult to live with him. I am worried for my safety and that he is tarnishing my name. I am an accountant working on my CPA, and with a husband like this, fear for my future and what it may entail my future clients I will be representing as a public accountant.

I am now thinking of divorcing him and filing the form alone. Will this work if I prove bonafide marriage or should i just ride it until i have filed and then divorce this loser of a husband? :( I am tired of his acts. He is ruining my credit and I can't get my landlord to add his name on the lease because of his felony charges. I am in a fix and need help. Don't want to spend money on a lawyer because I have lots of bills to pay.

obviously you wish to divorce the guy right away, probably if you could - just like today.

so, just not doing it due to your upcoming naturalization/green card, is purely understandable as using marriege to obtain a valid migration benefits.

And with USCIS it is never like "enough". They may always ask you for additional RFE - and then what you gonna say: I am divorce??

You have to believe in a higher energy in a faith that everyone has a hidden plan in their lifes -- if your husband turned out to be a scum doing all he does, maybe thats the way it was meant to be!

Think about it.

Husband in jail

Well, my loser husband is now in custody for his felony charges. I am consulting an immig lawyer on what to do about this case.:confused:

Remember, he still has to sign the I-751 and also remember that if he withdraws the I-130 you have a problem.-
