Divorce or death b4 filing I -751

If you divorce or your USC spouse dies b4 u r eligible to file i-751, Would you be approved? How does that work?

I know this is not an answer and hope someone will give you a more clear scenario. I have a friend whose husband died less than a year after they got married. She filed the I-751 by herself and the CIS have been giving her extensions ( I think 2 by now) of her GC, but no other answer yet. Good luck!

On a different thread a guy is saying that his wife from Colombia (and God knows who & what else) came her using a false passport, now we face the question what happens if the spouse "dies" :eek: :eek:

I hope I'm not going to see the members of this forum in John Walsh's "America's most wanted" show. :D :D

You'd file a waiver of the joint requirement for form I-751. In the case of divorce you file once the divorce is final. You do have a requirement to prove that the marriage was genuine.
 
Suzy, you're rigth people are they scarry nowadays in this forum....If you love your spouse why do you think about death and divorce...just think positive....Peace
